Good evening once again Vancouver! I trust you all had a festive holiday season and hopefully are thus far also enjoying the new year. To kick start 2011, it is our pleasure to introduce in our next issue one of Vancouver's most talented and realest MC's, Jay Kin. NISY first caught Jay kin's signature sound back in August 2010 at his 'Sneakers and Video Games' album release party and ever since then have been getting to know the man recognized as one of 'Vancouver's nicest'. Not only does Jay Kin's style and presence on the mic command attention, but his insatiable appetite for life has pushed his creativity to new highs and has helped him drop music that people seem to be really vibe-ing to. His success as a musician has enabled him to open for some of the games heaviest hitters, including, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Reakwon, Mobb Deep, Naughty by Nature, Juelz Santana and many others. Alternatively, if you want to catch him at a live gig, Jay Kin will be performing at the Kool Herc Fundraiser at The Storyeum on February 19^th, and again on March 9^th at Fortune Sound Club where he'll open for Wu Tang original, GZA.
